The Terminal Management Office of Opol covers the areas in western part of Misamis Oriental particularly the Ports of Opol and Jasaan. These ports are considered alternate ports for the Baseport of Cagayan de Oro and are expected to alleviate traffic congestion along the roads of Cagayan de Oro and Misamis Oriental as well as the port congestion at the Baseport.
The Port of Jasaan now serves tramping vessels while the Port of Opol is currently operational.
