The Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro in partnership with the 1001st Auxiliary Squadron of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA), the civilian support group of the Philippine Coast Guard, continued the provision of free light snacks to vaccinated passengers in CDO Port.
The PMO represented by Port Manager Isidro V. Butaslac Jr. himself along with the Port Terminal Complex Acting Manager Imelda Siva, members of the PCGA 1001st Squadron, and representatives of the Philippine Coast Guard, commenced the distribution of snacks to the outbound vaccinated passengers on 09 September 2021.
Earlier partnership of the PMO with the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro (RCCDO) and co-sponsored by Pepsi-Cola Philippines concluded with a total of 300 vaccinated passengers served with snacks.
The PMO, as directed by the Philippine Ports Authority Top Management and the Department of Transportation(DOTr), had provided free light snacks to a total of 777 vaccinated passengers in ports under its jurisdiction from 03 to 20 August 2021.
This activity initiated by DOTr was organized in support to the government’s ongoing COVID-19 vaccination program towards herd immunity and to be one with the PMO’s measures to keep its ports safe.
