Cagayan de Oro City- Today, September 27, 2024, the PMO MO/C once again demonstrated their commitment to community service for the month of September by participating in the LGU’s City Wide Clean-up campaign: Klarex nga Kalimpyo sa Kadalanan ug Tugkaran for the ninth time this year.

The monthly clean-up drive received participation from 23 dedicated individuals coming from the Admin Division, Passenger Terminal Complex, and Oroport Cargo Handling Service Incorporated. Moreover, the activity took place at the Port Area of Cagayan de Oro; particularly outside of the Amenity Building, Greenbelt Area, and Block 9. Furthermore, collected was a total of 250 kilograms of waste throughout the cleanup activity, demonstrating the ethical efforts of all participants to guarantee a thorough and efficient cleaning approach.

A clean-up drive not only enhances community aesthetics but also fosters civic pride and responsibility. Participants gather to remove litter and create a cleaner environment. By delving into these efforts, we can appreciate their ultimate impact on both the community and the ecosystem. Thus, this month’s clean-up drive activity is in continuing implementation of PMO MOC’s Green Port Award System and in pursuant to Republic Act 9003 or known as “Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000.
