The Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro City participated on the 1st Quarter Meeting of the Disaster Response and Early Recovery Committee convened on March 12, 2023, at 9:00 AM at Pearlmont Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.

The meeting commenced with a prayer followed the rendition of the Lupang Hinirang (Philippine National Anthem). Regional Director of DSWD X, Dir. Ramel F. Jamen, extended a warm welcome, and acknowledged the participants. The meeting then proceeded with the approval of the minutes from the previous session and the agenda.

The agenda included significant updates from the 4th quarter of 2023, presentations, and approvals of key protocols and plans, namely:
1.Updates on agreements from the 4th quarter of 2023 Disaster Response and Early Recovery meeting.
2.Presentation and Approval of the Enhanced RDRP for Hydromet-Response Operations Cluster Protocol.
3.Presentation and Adoption of the Camp Management Plan.
4.Presentation of the 1st quarter Cluster Accomplishment Report.

Each agenda item was meticulously discussed and presented with the aid of PowerPoint presentations, including comprehensive reports on cluster accomplishments from various lead agencies.

Additionally, it was noted that the Philippine Ports Authority PMO-MOC updated the Law and Order (LAO) Cluster’s Directory. Furthermore, PNP-10, the Lead Cluster Agency of LAO, announced plans for a separate meeting in the forthcoming months to discuss cluster accomplishments, to be reported during the 2nd Quarter Meeting of the Disaster Response and Early Recovery Committee.

The Law-and-Order Cluster, to which the Philippine Ports Authority PMO-MOC belongs, is primarily focused on safeguarding lives and minimizing casualties during disasters. Member agencies of this cluster collaborate to ensure public safety and protect property in the face of various natural disasters.

In executing its operations, the Law-and-Order Cluster coordinates closely with designated Incident Commanders through the Incident Management Team (IMT), ensuring effective security operations and the safety of affected areas.
