Cagayan de Oro City – The PMO MO/C, spearheaded by Port Services Division’s (PSD) Division Manager, Ms. Ruby Maria O. Gumapon, together with PSD’s Regular and COS workers; Passenger Terminal Complex (PTC) personnel, OroPort, and Macajalar Wharf Porters Association members actively participated in the conduct of LGU’s City Wide Clean-up Drive today, 23 February 2024 at the Port Area of Cagayan de Oro; specifically at Gate 3 premises, Port Operational Area, and Passenger Terminal Building outside gate.
A total collection of 19 sacks (18 sacks with residual wastes and 1 sack with unusual waste/plastic/wire/metal). With a total of 570 kilos of waste.
This activity is PMO MOC’s continuos support with LGU’s City Wide Clean-up Drive, “Klarex nga Kalimpyo sa Kadalanan ug Tugkaran,” which started last 26 May 2023. This is also in line with Republic Act 9003, also known as “Ecological Solid Waste Management Act” and LGU’s City Ordinance No. 13378-2018: Integrated Eco-biological Solid Waste Management Ordinance.
The PMO MO/C remains unwavering in its dedication in achieving the goal of a cleaner and greener environment for the economic and security of long-term generations.
