Cayan de Oro City – A total of twenty five (25) personnel and staff of PMO Misamis Oriental Cagayan de Oro participated in the Department of Tourism – Region 10 (DOT-R10) Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) program and training at the Grand Caprice Restaurant and Convention Center, Cagayan de Coro City on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, together with 240 participants from national government agencies, academic institutions, accommodation establishments, and tourism stakeholders of the Region.
The Port of Cagayan de Oro as a Frontline Service Office and being a Gateway Port of Northern Mindanao, is privilege to have been part of one of the DOT- Philippines’ flagship program the FSBE, which aims at promoting Filipino Hospitality. The program envisions in enhancing and uplifting the quality of tourism services in the country with a benchmark on how to render excellent service the Filipino way, and making it a part of the Philippine tourism brand.
The Grand Launching Ceremony aims to improve the overall tourism experience in Northern Mindanao through training and enhancing the participants’ knowledge in exemplary customer service and attitude in line with the distinctive Filipino principles, namely: Maka-Diyos, Makatao, Maka-kalikasan, Makabansa, Masayahin, and May Bayanihan. The training was inclusive of three modules with different workshops and pop quizzes wherein the participants will apply their learnings. The FBSE training was completed upon the pinning ceremony of the Northern Mindanao trainees.
Marie Elaine Unchuan, Regional Director of DOT-X, warmly welcomed everyone and honored the Filipino Brand of Excellence as a distinguished and world-renowned hospitality found exclusively in every Filipino.
The ceremony started with the lighting of the cake, which symbolized the beginning of the journey towards conducting the FBSE for 100,000 participants all over the country.
