The Port Management of Misamis/Oriental Cagayan de Oro kicked off this month’s National Women’s Month Celebration through a special flag raising ceremony at the
PPA PMO MO/C Bldg 2 grounds on March 04, 2024. The event marked the beginning of a month-long journey to honor the achievements, resilience, and influence of women. The flag raising ceremony, traditionally a symbol of pride and solidarity, became a poignant backdrop for acknowledging the vital role of women in society.

PPA employees sang the Philippine National Anthem thru Audio Visual Presentation (Lupang Hinirang Music Video with an All-Women Cast which features women representing different sectors.) It also highlights women’s key contribution in history and present Juanas’ different roles in the society. The AVP is courtesy of the Philippine Commission on Women. This year’s theme is WE for gender equality and
inclusive society with a sub-theme for 2024 “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas:
Kakayahan ng Kababahian, Patutunayan!”

Gad focal persons also announced the activities for this month’s celebration. There will also be a series of interactive workshops/trainings covering topics such as health and wellness and women empowerment. These workshops/trainings are designed to equip women with practical skills and knowledge to navigate various aspects of life.
