The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) of Balingoan, in collaboration with Prudential Customs Brokerage Services, Inc. (PCBSI), conducted a Basic Life Support Training at the Terminal Management Office of Balingoan on Thursday, 13 October 2022. Participants consisted of personnel from the TMO, Cargohandling Operator, and the Porters’ Association.
The whole-day training consisted of essential life support and basic first aid. Participants were oriented on the steps to take in an emergency and how to properly administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The Chief of PDRRMO, Mr. Edwin Ipan, facilitated the training alongside his team. Details presentations and discussions were done during the first half of the day to ensure the participants can fully understand the importance of the training and their responsibilities once they become a Basic Life Support Provider. In the afternoon, the trainers demonstrated the proper administration of CPR and bandage application for each injury type. The participants were then divided into groups and were tasked to execute the steps demonstrated by the trainers as they will be evaluated accordingly.
At the end of the training, the PDRRMO expressed their gratitude to the TMO and PCBSI for their active cooperation and congratulated the participants for a job well done.
