In celebration of the upcoming 50th anniversary of the Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PMO MO/C) and in honor of the 26th anniversary of the Coast Guard District Northern Mindanao (CGDNM), ten (10) PMO MO/C personnel, together with representatives from the other agencies, actively participated in a coastal clean-up activity on March 21, 2025, at Barangay Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City.

This collaborative event aimed to promote environmental responsibility and enhance the protection of coastal and marine ecosystems. During the clean-up, the PMO MOC personnel successfully collected 200 kilograms of debris, contributing to the reduction of marine pollution and the preservation of the local coastal environment. This initiative highlighted the critical role that clean and healthy coastlines play in supporting biodiversity and protecting local communities from the harmful effects of pollution.

The activity not only strengthened the partnership between the Philippine Coast Guard and the Philippine Ports Authority but also underscored the office’s ongoing commitment to sustainable port management and environmental stewardship. Through this collective effort, the participants were able to contribute to the long-term goal of maintaining clean and sustainable coastal areas for future generations.
