The Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro has started its “Operation Plan: Biyaheng Ayos” on December 16, 2021 to facilitate passengers during the holiday season at the Port of Cagayan de Oro, Balingoan, and Benoni.
PPA Management has directed all PMOs nationwide to carry-out the OPLAN Biyaheng Ayos for Pasko 2021 and New Year 2022 from 16 December 2021 to 05 January 2022. The OPLAN primarily aims to ensure the safety, security, and comfort of all passengers who will be travelling to their home provinces or cities through the ports for the holiday season.
Among others, the said Oplan includes the following: properly manned counters and booths to minimize heavy queuing; operational hotlines and feedback systems for fast relay of important information; 24/7 first-aid services within the port; and most importantly, strict implementation of safety and security measures in all areas of the port. DOTr Helpdesk Centers and Malasakit Helpdesks are also manned to provide immediate assistance to passengers in need.
The PMO MO/C maintains direct communication lines with its Command Center and the PPA Head Office for monitoring of port situation 24/7 including the terminal ports and to ensure prompt relay of information should there be any incident or emergency. Daily Port Situation Reports are being submitted to the Head Office by the Port Police Division. —BCAcedera
