Relative to the ongoing Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, wherein the deadly virus can survive on high-contact surfaces (surfaces that are handled/touched frequently by numerous people) and as an additional measure to help prevent, limit, and control exposure to this virus, the Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro temporarily suspended the use of the biometric fingerprint time clock to record the attendance of all its employees including the outsourced personnel.

Bundy clocks will be used instead in the Administrative Buildings 1 and 2. Per Admin Memorandum Circular No. 03-2020, each employee was also directed to bring along his/her own timecard after time punching as a further precaution against COVID-19.
