In accordance with its mandate in ensuring safe, secure, and sustainable port operations, the Port of Cagayan de Oro was re-certified with the Safety Seal by the Department of Interior and Local Government on Tuesday, 06 December 2022.
A random onsite visit was conducted at the entire base port by the authorized agencies namely: the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, and the Department of Interior and Local Government to inspect if the establishment has consistently implemented the minimum public health standards set by the government and integrated its contact tracing system. The PMO was commended, once again, for exceeding the standards for certification and notably maintaining its implementation.
As of today, PMO MO/C continues to require all establishments inside its ports to apply for the Safety Seal Certification, in compliance with PPA Administrative Order No. 10-2021 “Implementation of Safety Seal in Ports” which covers all establishments inside the ports under PPA’s jurisdiction.
