In collaboration with the Bureau of Customs and Oroport Cargohandling Services, Inc., the Port of Cagayan de Oro City restores international containerized shipments after eleven (11) years. The event was marked by the arrival of AS ROMINA, a containerized vessel coming from Shekou, China on 14 March 2022.

Sailing under the flag of Portugal, container ship AS ROMINA has a gross tonnage of 17,068 and length overall is 180.43 meters. It first arrived at the Port of Subic Bay before calling at the CDO Port, carrying 146 outbound containers and 208 inbound containers.

The Philippine Ports Authority has been working together with Oroport Cargohandling Services, Inc. — CDO Port’s cargohandling operator, and the Bureau of Customs in bringing back international containerized operations back to Cagayan de Oro.
