Various agencies and organizations both in private and government sectors convened on 17 March 2020 for a workshop for the crafting of the City’s Contingency Plan to proactively address worst-case scenario/s that may be brought about by Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
The Cagayan de Oro City Contingency Plan was localized based from the Contingency Plan of the national government. Contributing agencies for the said plan were grouped into seven (7) clusters, namely: Health, Law and Order, Governance, Economy, International Humanitarian, Logistics, and Risk Communications.
The PPA PMO MO/C is one of the members under the Logistics Cluster, particularly at the Transportation and Warehousing sub-clusters. The Logistics Cluster primarily aims to provide logistics support services as requested by other Clusters including transportation, warehousing, supplies and inventory management, and restoration of utilities and facilities. The Cluster is in-charge of the acquisition and fast and efficient delivery of logistical supplies.
The PMO MO/C committed to providing storage areas/warehouse in the Port of Cagayan de Oro for the resources/supplies which are delivered through cargo vessels.
