Having sustained the gains of 2018 and continued unlocking new ones, the Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro concluded another productive year 2019, with the annual Honoring and Thanksgiving Party on 20 December 2019 at the new Passenger Terminal Building, Port of Cagayan de Oro.
During his Christmas message, Port Manager Isidro V. Butaslac Jr. extended his thanks and gratitude to all PMO personnel for their indefatigable service and commitment towards the attainment and realization of the goals set for the year. Right after his message, an audio-visual presentation was shown, recapping all the significant achievements of the PMO throughout the current year.
This year, the PMO had unlocked other milestones: on July, the PMO together with DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade and PPA General Manager Jay Daniel Santiago had inaugurated three ticket projects: the new Passenger Terminal Building at CDO Port, the 6-lane Cargo Gate Complex, and the Port of Opol; the PMO was re-certified for the implementation of the Integrated Management System during the first follow-up audit on November; the Development Academy of the Philippines has recently conferred the award for the best practice of Fostering Green Culture in Port Operation and Management; among others.
Personnel both regular and outsourced employees who have shown commendable and exemplary performance at work were given certificates and plaques of recognition. More than thirty (30) employees have received awards that night.
After the awarding ceremony, all the personnel including the force multipliers and janitorial complement had showcased their talents in dancing with their presentations pegged on the theme, “Glittery White Christmas.” Special awards were given to chosen individuals for their respective glittery-white costumes and/or attires. — by IMR Lam
