The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) TMO Camiguin convened the 1st Semester Port Management Advisory Council (PMAC) and Port Security Advisory Council (PSAC) meeting on March 19, 2025. The event was attended by an esteemed group of stakeholders, including Cong. Jurdin Jesus M. Romualdo, representative of the Lone District of Camiguin, along with representatives from MARINA RX, Maritime Police, Philippine Coast Guard โ€“ Camiguin, various shipping lines, and other government agencies.

The meeting provided a platform for discussing critical updates on ongoing port projects, ensuring that infrastructure developments are on track to support the regionโ€™s maritime needs. Another key focus was the preparation for the highly anticipated PANAAD/SEMANA SANTA 2025, a cultural and religious celebration that brings an influx of visitors to the island. Discussions also covered strategies for accommodating the national games of the State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA), which is set to bring together numerous academic institutions and athletes.

The collaborative efforts among stakeholders showcased a shared commitment to enhancing port operations, maintaining safety and security, and ensuring readiness for major upcoming events. The PPA Terminal Management Office of Camiguin remains steadfast in fostering partnerships and improving port services for the community and beyond.
