Mr. Lorimer V. Angeles, the President of the Association of Technical and Vocational Training Institute of Misamis Oriental visited the Port of Cagayan de Oro and its new Passenger Terminal Building (PTB)on 14 September 2019, and initially discussed future collaboration between the Port and the Association.

Covering 80 institutions within Misamis Oriental province, the Association President sees the new PTB and the Port of Cagayan de Oro as a new site for future educational tours of the students. Mr. Angeles believed that future tour in CDO Port will largely help the students to know about port operations and port activities in order to promote awareness of the port’s role in the local economy and how this will impact the community; and understand better the shipping and passenger operations and the importance of trade and commerce. It will be also a unique opportunity to see for themselves the PPA’s newest and most modern PTB and take a sense of pride of being a Mindanaon. This future engagement will also serve as a medium for the Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro to share its environmental initiatives and progressive safety and security measures to the academic institutions.  — IMR Lam
