TMO Balingoan, Misamis Oriental –The Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PMO MOC) extended a helping hand to stranded passengers at TMO Balingoan on September 15 and 16, 2024. The initiative aimed to alleviate the inconvenience faced by travelers due to unforeseen delays. This initiative is in coordination with LGU Balingoan who provided the rice.
By early evening, PMO MOC offered a satisfying dinner featuring PPA Lugaw to 70 passengers. This meal, known for its simple yet filling nature, was a welcome treat for those waiting for their journey to resume.
On the morning of September 16, PMO MOC served a hearty breakfast of Hot Arrozcaldo to 40 stranded passengers. This warm and comforting meal provided much-needed relief and nourishment, ensuring that the passengers started their day on a more positive note.
The Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro’s actions underscore the importance of community solidarity and effective support systems in times of travel disruptions. The timely and thoughtful provision of meals is a testament to their commitment to passenger care and service excellence.
