As the Port Management of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PMO MOC) eagerly steps into the love month of February, a special and eco-friendly initiative takes root. Embracing a commitment to environmental consciousness, the PMO employees have come together to create a symbol of their love for nature – a garden adorned with Mayana and other vibrant flowering plants, including Kumintang at the Port Terminal Complex then replicated at the Admin Building on February 1, 2024.

The garden serves as a powerful symbol of the PMO’s deep-rooted love for nature. Beyond being a wonderful addition to the workspace, it reflects the organization’s commitment to environmental stewardship and the preservation of local flora. By choosing indigenous plants, the PMO not only promotes biodiversity but also showcases an appreciation for the region’s natural beauty. This is part of the greening projects of CDO port, a Green Port recognized by APEC GPAS since 2018
